There are four years from 9th grade to 12th in most states (I hear some go 10th to 12th). They are in order: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior. Although ages vary due to different birth dates the average age for each class is respectively 15, 16, 17, 18.
6 :
Yeah we have elementary, k-6th Then junior high 7th-8th Then high school 9th-12th Some districts around here have junior high 6th-8th. But for the most part in the US, junior high is 7th-8th.

13th - Only in Prep Schools (May or May not be college credited classes.) Not a typical grade level usually only in high end private or military schools. 12th Grade - Senior - 17/18 y/o (up to 19 in some states) 11th Grade - Junior - 16 /17 y/o 10th Grade - Sophomore - 15/16 -------------------------------------------- 9th Grade - Freshman - 14/15 9th Grade maybe in High school or Junior High (Middle) School. Not all schools use the 4 year plan. Both student size, public v private, state/local laws or funding could cause 9th Grade to be in either Middle school or High School. Middle School (7th and 8th Grade, sometimes 6th or 9th is included. ) Not all districts (mine is one) have Middle Schools. Grade or Primary or Elementary Schools. K- Kindergarten 5 y/o Then 1st Grade up to 8th unless you have a Middle school.

Who learned that the USA was a protectionist nation until 1913

Who learned that the USA was a protectionist nation until 1913?
Does anybody remember being taught in school that the USA was a protectionist nation until 1913? Does anybody remember learning that import tariffs were the main source of revenues for the federal government until then?

1913 wasn't necessarily the conversion of the United States into a non-protectionist economy, just more open. Revenue Act of 1913 just reallocated where the government gets most of its revenue. Basic tariffs went from 40% to 25% (other kinds of tariffs had their own reductions), and the income tax was instated for a small percentage of the population (the top earners).

One of the economic factors behind the Revolution was that local manufacturers couldn't compete with those in England. Shortly after the war, the North insisted on protectionist tariffs because that's where the industries were. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tariffs_in_American_history The South objected as it meant they would have to pay more. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nullification_Crisis We studied the economics of American history starting in A.P History in high school. That's also when we first learned that less than half the population supported independence and that behind the Boston Tea party were the smugglers who were going to lose money when the East India Company started shipping tea directly to the colonies, instead of going to England first. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_Act Before then, it was all mythology - high-minded population, forward looking leaders, dastardly British, etc.

Any FBOs in the USA renting a Varga 2150 for flight training

Any FBOs in the USA renting a Varga 2150 for flight training?
Does anyone know of a FBO or Flight School in the USA or Canada that is presently using a Varga 2150 aircraft for flight training and/or rental? I learned to fly in this type of aircraft more than 20 years ago and I would like to fly in one again but I can not locate one that is for rent all that I find are for personal use by owner.

You know, That's where your creativeness comes in. If you want to further your education, Do what hairtylists do, and go to classes that teach you those sort of things(In order to be succesfull, You'll want to continue your education to be kept updated with the current styles and techniques, Even if you have been in the business 20 years)....Because that's what Cosmetology School basically is. They teach you what you need to know, and the rest is up to you. All schools are different...Can you afford to move across country to one of the so called "best"schools, and find out that the schoo actually sucks, and isn't what you expected? Probley not. Stick with the school you are in, and then continue your education once you are out in the industry.
