The best all girls boarding school in the USA is the one in which you will thrive. That said, probably the best known boarding schools are Emma Willard and Miss Porters. There are many more. You can research all girls boarding schools on www.boardingschoolreview.com, www.schools.com and www.petersons.com. I'm not sure about the best known prep (day) schools for girls. In New York City, it would probably a tie between Chapin and Brealey. Other major cities in the US have some great day schools just for girls.
