School system in USA

School system in USA?
We live in Germany now, but because of my husband job we are planning on moving back to the USA. I have a kid who just started 1st grade here (she is 6 years old). I'm not sure if she will be able to start attending school there if we move let say in 3 months. Does somebody know if a kid can start school right away when have an address in USA?

I know in my school, you enroll, and then the next day you can join. It might even be that day if you go in the morning. Good luck with your move!

Check with the school system of the town that you plan on moving back to. Since she is 6yrs old, I believe they have to get her into school immediately. Do the research in advance as you may have a choice of school etc. Most public school systems are on line.

Once you have established an address in the U.S. you will surely be able to enroll your child in school. If you haven't chosen an exact destination in the U.S. yet I suggest you search the school systems for their competency. Unfortunately there can be a very large disparity between school systems in this country depending on the town or city.

Once it is established you are in district, the school will admit the student the day you register with them. Make sure you have all that is required. Your daughter may need a physical from a doctor, shots, even a eye and ear exam before being let in to school. Have her birth certificate too.
