What's the cheapest way to send books from USA to Taiwan

What's the cheapest way to send books from USA to Taiwan?
I'm buying primary school textbooks from USA for use in Taiwan. Is there a way to send them that's cheaper than through UPS or the US Post Office? Where maybe they charge by the size of the boxes/ containers instead of by the weight of the contents? Please help...

Easy! You bring the book with you on the plane to Taiwan, and give it to them there. See?

the post office will charge by size and weight. Generally only charging by size is cheaper as books can weigh a lot. If you want really cheap and you have time, send by boat. but mind you it will take like 2 months to get to taiwan then. (plus side is its a hades of a lot cheaper then by air.)

scan it. email installments to yourself. free.

First Class International would be appropiate for single books. It cuts out at 4 pounds. Something heavier than that would cost a lot to ship. Weight what you need to send and go to usps.com to calculate

US Flat Rate Box is the cheapest a large one will cost you over $40.00. Check for your textbook on ebooks.com I would also suggest buying used at GreenTextbooks.com - Saving the Planet One Textbook at a Time GreenTextbooks.com is your online leader for finding used textbooks, DVDs, CDs.
