So, you have your core classes (math, english, science, social studies). Those are the only ones really required. You can pick everything else. However, since it'll be your last year of high school, you'll also need to take classes to fulfill the graduation requirements for that school. For example, I have to take health before I can graduate. So, after including those requirements, everything left is your choice. As far as lunch goes, it depends on the school rules. Most high schools have open campus for 11 and 12 grades, so they can either stay at school OR go out for lunch. For sports, you have to pass the tryouts. Dates would be posted around the school or on the website. So, you just show up and do your best...and hope that the coach thinks you're good enough to be on the team. If the coach says you're on the team, then you can play in all the tournaments and games. Eh, I can't really answer your last question there. I don't live anywhere near there.

The guy above isn't fully right as each district have different classes that you have to attend , but English , math and science are compulsory. At lunch you eat of course and relax as this your break to socialize and prepare yourself for the next class. The deal on sports is that you pick which sport you would like to play and judging on what you have said in the text you like tennis. now to be able to play tennis you must be eligible to play as this requires your grades to be at a reasonable level and if you fall below this level you will not be able to play until you've passed it or are on it .

HS here can be different. Our HS is on the block system and only has four classes a day. Other HS can have 8 classes a day. Lunch is at school. Most HS campuses are closed. Meaning you can not leave till the end of the school day, and anyone coming in must be checked in at the main office. This is mainly for security. Most sports teams you must try out for. If you make the tennis team, you would do tournaments. If you go to a public school, you will have to go to the HS whose boundaries you live in. You don't get a choice of which public HS to go to. If you know where you are going to live, you can find out what HS you are going to and see if they have a web site. Many HS do. Some subject you must take- like english all four years. Others you will have a choose of. Like taking a foreign language. Any sports team would be an after school activity. School days differ. But you should start school around 7:30 am and go till 2:30/3 pm.
